Ingredients
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- 3 bacon slices, finely chopped
- 2 celery ribs, finely diced
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 1 1/2 lbs ground turkey (can substitute with beef)
- 1 cup white wine
- 1 jar Mölli Veracruz cooking sauce
- 1 jar Mölli Morelos cooking sauce
- 1 cup water
Directions
- In a Dutch Oven or medium size pot, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add bacon and cook for 2 minutes, until it starts to release its fat. Add celery, and cook for two extra minutes.
- Add ground turkey and cook until meat is crumbly and no longer pink, about 5 minutes. Season meat with 1/4 tsp salt and freshly ground pepper to taste.
Raise heat to medium high and pour white wine into ground turkey mixture; cook and stir until white wine is mostly evaporated, about 5 more minutes. - Pour Veracruz and Morelos sauce into meat mixture; add water. Bring to a simmer.
- Reduce heat to low and simmer, stirring often, until mixture cooks down into a thick sauce, around 3 hours. If sauce is too thick, add a little more water. Season to taste. Serve with your favorite pasta or just by itself with a side of warm baguette. Provecho!
